Here are some sites with great information on a variety of topics:

ROPARD -- The Association for Retinopathy of Prematurity and Related Diseases
www.ropard.org
These folks were instrumental in directing us to ophthalmologists who could diagnose Kender's condition, as well as getting us in to see Dr. Trese so quickly the first time. They are also a great resource for locating low vision specialists and local support groups for blind children and their families.

FEVR.NET
www.fevr.net
This site has the best collection of information on FEVR (Familial Exudative VitreoRetinopathy) available on the web.

Associated Retinal Consultants
www.associatedretinalconsultants.com
This is the home office of Dr. Michael Trese, one of the world's leadest pediatric retinal specialists and the best man to see for FEVR. We are incredibly lucky to live close enough that we can see him with little more effort than seeing any other ophthalmologist.

Spiral Scouts
www.spiralscouts.org
Spiral Scouts is an alternative to Boy Scouts/Girl Scouts for non-Christian children and families. It is an integrated scouting program, bringing boys and girls of all ages together into a single group, providing a very rich learning environment. More nature-based than Girl Scouts, Spiral Scouts earn badges in things like woodcraft and camping, among others. We are excited to be the founders of the first Lansing area Spiral Scouts circle!
