My computer is so slow. It runs "like a dog," as Daddy puts it. It wasn't always this way. When I first got it, it was Speedy Gonzales. It was great! I loved it! But sometime in the last year and a half or so, it turned into the Molasses River. I only have 256MB of memory, and judging from the constant disk access, large page files, etc., more memory would cure all my ills. It would be really nice to have right now, while I'm working on this huge project that's due so fast and that I'm not getting nearly enough time to work on.

Brian suggested checking the kids' computer for compatible memory, since it should be relatively new (we bought it used from the power company). Nope; I have DDR, they have SDRAM. Which is compatible with Brian's last computer. They had 2 256MB chips. So I swapped out one of their chips for Brian's old 512MB chip (why waste good memory?).

So now my children have 3 times as much memory as I do. THIS IS WAY WRONG!!!

Somebody please remind me that now, in the middle of this project, is not a good time to try and switch out the hard drives in the two computers so I can have the good machine. Please? I'm trying hard to resist...
