I guess I've been busy. Actually, I've been lazy. Or maybe just flat out drop-dead exhausted. Have you ever been so tired it felt like you were drunk, because your brain function and motor skills are so impaired? That's what I've felt like most of this week. And now that I seem to be recovering from that...I have a cold.

But I went roller skating tonight. And I bought myself some skates. It was so incredibly sweet to ride my own skates for the first time ever!!! I wonder if getting my own ice skates would feel this good? I think I got a good deal on the skates, they fit good, and it looks like I won't need footbeds for them. All I need to do is break in the boots...they are STIFF!

I am so out of shape. I keep saying that, but it keeps just smacking me in the face when I least expect it. I'm going to be sore tomorrow. I had the best of intentions, but I ended up leaving a half-hour early tonight. And the last hour or so I was there, I could only skate every other song, resting in between. And as a bonus, somebody knocked me down, so I'm probably going to have a shiner on my hip tomorrow. Not to mention my Kegels are not helping when I get slammed to the floor (ugh!).

But it's all in a good cause. I had a blast, I got the hang of skating again a bit, and I'm going to keep going back. Although I may try Sunday night next weekend for the adult skate, get rid of some of those kids!
